Rate of FKF fiber's quantity in friction materials
Disc pad and bonding type drum brake lining for passenger car and mini-car:
FKF fiber 20-25%
Or FKF fiber 13-15% and steel fiber 5-13%
Riveting type brake lining for truck:
FKF fiber 25-35%
Propose to add other reinforcements, for example: 3 ~ 5% of copper fiber or NBR rubber powder, or less steel fiber and glass fiber, then the impact strength of the brake lining can be up to 4kg.cm/cm2.
1. Vertical axle type high speed mixer
A. Rotation speed of main axle: 800 to 1000 r.p.m., the dispersal effect is better with the speed of 1000 r.p.m.
(When the rotation speed is lower than 500r.p.m., the dispersed effect of FKF will probably be unsatisfactory with forming less granule.)
B. Propose to fix 2 to 6 pieces of steel plates on the inner wall of the mixer (the angle between the steel plate and inner wall is about 45o or adjustable.). It can arrive the better dispersed effect, because the FKF fiber can be scattered when the fiber with high speed strikes to the plate.
C. Mixing time
---a. Add the resin, fillers and other fibers into the mixer, to mix for 3 to 4 minutes, then put in FKF fiber and mix for 1.5 to 2 minutes, finish mixing.
---b.Add all ingredients including resin, fillers, FKF and other fibers, mix for 4 to 5 minutes, and finish mixing.
2. Plough type mixer
A. Add all of ingredients including resin, fillers, FKF and other fibers into the mixer, mix for 15 to 20 minutes, finish mixing.
B. It is necessary to have the high-speed chipper (about 3000 r.p.m.) in plough type mixer, which can strike and disperse FKF fiber well.
